Musicians and Performers of the Collective
Dylan Ross – Vocalist
Raised in the Purbeck Isles, at 18 he attended Andrew Lloyd Webber's - Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd) and graduated with honours in 2018. Later graduating in 2023 from Royal Central School Of Speech And Drama in MA Voice Studies.
Dylan is a classically trained contemporary jazz singer. As an actor, he debuted in new musical works and performed at prestigious venues such as the Actors Church Covent Garden and the Royal Albert Hall. He was subsequently cast as Frankie Valli in the UK’s No.1 Four Seasons spin-off show and the Jersey Boys International Tour (2021).
Influenced by the likes of Sinatra and Fred Astaire, with vocal styling comparable to Harry Connick Jr. and young Tony Bennett, he fronts a dedicated and prolific collective of world-class musicians.
Joseph Limburn – Double Bass
Hailing from the Royal Academy of Music, Joe’s achievements as a professional jazz bassist have seen him accompany and collaborate with some of the biggest cats on the British jazz scene, including the likes of Dave Newton, Mick Hanson, Sara Dowling, Jo Harrop and renowned French Multi-instrumentalist Jef Sicard.
Phil Doyle – Pianist
One of the most sought after jazz pianists in the South. He has performed alongside many American touring musicians such as Scott Hamilton, Bobby Shew and Pee Wee Ellis, as well as some of the top UK artists such as Alan Barnes, Mark Nightingale and Tina May.
He is a long-standing member of the Joe Loss Orchestra and the Sound of Blue Note Band, as well as leading his own trio.
Simon Allen – Multi-instrumentalist
Began his career with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Pendulum Jazz Orchestra, later performing alongside the likes of jazz stars: Jamie Cullum, Art Themen, Gerard Presencer, Peter King and Incognito.
After being a winner in the Daily Telegraphs ‘Young Jazz’ competition, and a finalist in the ‘Young Jazz Musician of the Year’, Simon gained a place at the Royal Academy of Music, and was later selected to join UK drummer Clark Tracey in his acclaimed Quintet, winning further awards and touring the UK over several years.
Lee Goodall – Multi-instrumentalist
At the turn of the century, Lee toured the US and recorded with the great Van Morrision for two years, later featuring as a soloist on three of Morrisons albums.
Whilst living and playing in New York, Lee performed on various releases for Island Records. Also collaborating with some big fish in the New York jazz scene such as Marcus Miller, Steve Gadd, and Dr. John amongst many other notable figures.
Gareth Fowler – Guitarist
Graduating with a Masters from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied privately with Rodney Jones, John Riley and Dayna Stevens. Gareth is also the recipient of the Munster Trust Recital scheme where he presented his music with a UK tour.

Previously graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying under Phil Robson, Jez Franks, Zolte Bende and Dave Cliff. Gareth is one of the most demanded guitarists throughout the UK and has also performed internationally with the likes of: Percy Purseglove, Mike Williams, Naima Acuna, Julian Arguelles, Troy Miller, Art Theman and many others. He featured in the Naima Acuna Quartet for the International Jazz Festival in Spain and led a band featuring Perico Sambeat at the Atarfe International Jazz Festival. He would later perform on the award nominated set of works by UK Jazz master saxophonist, Mike Williams.
Alex Cardall – Percussionist
Alex attended Arts Educational Schools London where he studied Musical Theatre. He graduated in 2018 with a first class honours and was awarded the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Award. Since then he's performed in many prestigious venues such as The RSC, Royal Albert Hall, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, and The Other Palace, prolifically originating roles in new West End productions.

Prior to his studies he held the drum chair with the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra, playing with the likes of Clare Teal and John Faddis. Alongside his acting studies, he's held many residencies across London with his Jazz trio ACT Music LDN. Since then ACT Music LDN have collaborated with Purple Door Productions at The Arcola Theatre and recorded the music for Encore Radio’s podcast, playing host to some of the West End’s leading stars.
Simon Oskarsson – Multi-instrumentalist
Simon is a professional musician and actor from Nybro, Sweden. He started his trumpet carrier in The Royal Swedish Navy Cadet Band where he advanced to lead player and soloist. He toured Berlin, Birmingham, Zurich, Stockholm and Los Angeles with the band and earned a place in the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Sweden at the age of 16.
Since graduating from Arts Educational Schools London, Simon has worked in TV, Theatre, Musical Theatre and Actor-Musician Shows (BBC, ITV, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Sheffield Crucible, Nottingham Playhouse, Watermill Theatre) and appeared in the workshop of Stephen Sondheim´s COMPANY for Broadway. He´s also the Co-Founder and arranger/composer of the Actor-Musician collective ACT Music LDN.
Jan Evans – Percussionist
Studied percussion from a very early age and quickly made a name for himself playing with many local groups. His reputation has seen him lay the beat for many successful artists and has taken him all over the world, performing at acclaimed venues including London's famous Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club.
